Distribution Code

Overview

The Distribution Code subject area is used to define and manage accounting distribution rules in a system. A distribution code specifies how financial transactions are allocated to general ledger accounts, ensuring consistent and accurate posting across business processes.

Each distribution code contains information such as debit and credit accounts, accounting segments, percentages, and distribution types. These codes are applied to transactions like payments, adjustments, refunds, or billing, determining how amounts are split and recorded in the ledger.

Conforming Layers

The only conforming layer of this subject area is DISTR_CODE_OBJ.
