Create email server for notifications
If email notifications are not necessary, you can skip this step.
To receive notifications about conversion run completions, errors, and other events, the email server needs to be configured in the DBMS scheduler.
In most cases, the following command should suffice:
DBMS_SCHEDULER.set_scheduler_attribute('email_server', 'SMTP-server-name:port')
The system administrator will provide the SMTP server name and port number. If the email server requires authentication or has any additional requirements, please refer to the Oracle documentation for more information on the additional DBMS_SCHEDULER attributes that can be configured.
This server configuration is for the database to send emails according to specified DBMS scheduler events. See Configure email below for configuring the email server for sending general emails from the tool.
