What is the Impact Analyzer tool?

The Release Notes Impact Analysis (RNIA) automates the process of generating detailed impact analysis reports for the following:

  • Release Notes — Simplifies the identification and assessment of changes, including new features, enhancements, and deprecations, across different versions of an OUAF product. By facilitating quick access and understanding of update implications, this tool enables product stakeholders to make informed decisions and effectively manage projects.
  • Custom Components — Checks for any deprecated features, modifications within the database structure, and potential effects on Java code. To thoroughly assess the impact specifically on Java components, you have the option to upload the CM.JAR file, which may provide additional context (uploading this file is optional but recommended for a comprehensive analysis).
  • Redundancy Checker and Summary — Identifies any alterations in features and eliminates unnecessary changes that do not add value or clarity. The report focuses solely on essential modifications and the removal of duplicates.

The analysis reports can be accessed via a web application and are stored in a database. On the other hand, uploaded reference files are stored in the cloud.
